Synopsis For Massachusetts And Rhode Island Coastal Waters - A slow moving cold front approaching from the W will bring showers and tstms to the coastal waters this afternoon. This cold front should move E of the waters tonight. Weak high pres will prevail Fri and Sat. Another cold front is expected to approach from the W Sunday. Another high pres should approach the waters Tue into Wed. This Afternoon - S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Waves around 2 ft. Showers with a chance of tstms. Some tstms may produce gusty winds. Vsby 1 to 3 nm early.
Tonight - S winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Waves around 2 ft in the evening...then 1 foot or less. Showers with tstms likely in the evening...then showers likely with a chance of tstms after midnight. Patchy fog. Some tstms may produce heavy rainfall...large hail and damaging winds in the evening. Vsby 1 to 3 nm.
Fri - SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Waves 1 foot or less.
Fri Night - SW winds around 10 kt. Waves 1 foot or less.
Sat - S winds 5 to 10 kt. Waves 1 foot or less. A chance of showers and tstms in the afternoon.
Sat Night - S winds 5 to 10 kt. Waves around 2 ft in the evening...then 1 foot or less. Showers and tstms likely. Patchy fog after midnight with vsby 1 to 3 nm.
Sun - SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Waves 1 foot or less. A chance of showers and tstms. Patchy fog. Vsby 1 to 3 nm until late afternoon.
Mon - W winds around 5 kt. Waves 1 foot or less. A chance of showers. A chance of tstms. Winds and waves higher in and near tstms. This product is normally issued twice daily at approximately 4 am and 4 PM...and updated as conditions warrant.
