* winds... northwest to north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45
mph are expected.

* Timing... the gusty northwest to north winds will increase this
afternoon... then peak in strength this evening... before
subsiding Friday morning.

* Impacts... cross winds will create potentially hazardous driving
conditions... especially on highways 101 and 154 near Gaviota
Pass and San Marcos Pass. Traveling will be especially
difficult for those driving high profile vehicles.
